Clare, in Suffolk, is one of many rural communities that has long since lost its railway service. But the station (minus track) survives, and with the nearby river and the remains of a castle it offers some attractive walks. I chose to paint just one rather elegant window of the station buildings, adding a figure to provide some extra interest.
