One of several versions that I've painted of this scene. The effect of dark threatening clouds made darker by contrast with areas of bright sunlight is one of the most appealing of subjects. Aldeburgh was, of course, the home of composer Benjamin Britten. His music often potrays in sound this part of the coast.
