4472 Crosses Ais Gill Viaduct
4472 crosses Ais Gill Viaduct

25" x 30". Alkyd. 1999

"Flying Scotsman" is possibly the best known of all locomotives. Ais Gill viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle line is one of the most popular locations for train watchers. Here, in preservation times, the two come together as 4472 enjoys one of its main line outings. A photographer adds to the substantial number of images of this scene but his dog seems to want to get on with his walk.
