An A4 Crosses the Forth Bridge
An A4 Crosses the Forth Bridge

25" x 30". Alkyd. 2000

Gresley's A4 was one of the most successful classes of British locomotive. Several spent their final years in Scotland and 60019 "Bittern" was one of the last two to survive in service. Old Angus takes no notice of the passing train. He's seen A4s before, and is dreaming of his retirement. "Bittern" is one of six members of the class which have been preserved. As Angus would be over 100 by now, he probably hasn't been!
